| I am glad and proud to introduce my company, please
take some time to share with us our passion reading the few following lines.
Manufacture d'orgue Ayer Sàrl is a swiss company employing a dozen specialist and
serving the swiss parishes for building, maintaining and refurbishing all types of pipe
organs.
Working with organs requires very specialized craftsmen. Only a well organized team
work allows for a perfect result both aesthetically and musically of a new or refurbished
instrument.
The manufacturing
process starts with basic drawings reflecting on customer's indications, followed by an
overall design (both of the body of the new instrument and its installation site). After
customer's approval, all the pipes sets are designed by the harmonizers, who will give the
character of the new instrument (Baroque, classic, romantic...) and design the detailed
plan for manufacturing it.
After design is completed, carpenters, mechanics, and pipe smith will stark each one
their job manufacturing all different parts and pieces (organ case, wind chest, bellows,
key desk, pipe...) Each part will be assembled the first time in the company's shop. All
the pipes will be pre-harmonized in the shop for a complete test. After the test is
accomplished satisfactorily, the instrument will be dis assembled completly and sent where
it will be installed definitively. Here it will be reassembled accurately and consigned
finally to the harmonizers for the final fix of pipes "voice". At this point it
is necessary to match the sonority of the instrument with the environment, typically, the
church, where it will have to delight the audience.
Our company presents itself as ambassador of a quality manufacture,
carried
out with passion in a tradition's spirit.
Both at aesthetical, mechanical and acoustic level, we try hard to implement the best
instrument which can satisfy customer's requirements, first, and expectations of all who
enjoy the good music of a classic instrument.
After more than ten years experience, along with my team I would like to express my
pride for having manufactured many instruments which keep delighting musicians, and
listeners.
The mere enthusiasm of organists who play our instruments expressed by their joy at the
console, is the greatest satisfaction I find in my work.
